育种所用的一种选育方法。即从群体中选出的某一个个体自交产生的后代，或由于2个个体杂交产生的后代，或由一个个体产生的后代（根据母本而不是根据父本来判别）等，通过不同程度的同系交配产生的家系，分别进行繁育，然后在家系间进行选择。用于动物和异花授粉植物的育种。玉米育种所用的穗行法（ ear－ to－ row method）或留穗法（ remnant method）即属此例。
