动物骈体畸形的一种。身体前方重复，后方单一。在各种脊椎动物、无脊椎动物中都曾发现。在高等脊椎动物称双头的就是指这种畸形，原肠的前端由某种原因一分为二，形成Y形的原肠，被认为这是形成畸胎的原因。可以用结扎实验、移植实验在两栖类等的胚中制作这种畸形。
