从海胆和其它海产无脊椎动物的卵中所获得的具有凝集精子作用的物质。在同种间引起的凝集，称同种凝集作用（iso－ agglutination），是可逆的。在异种间引起的凝集称异种凝集作用（ hetero－ agglut－ ination），是不可逆的。一般认为，同种和异种的凝集现象，是由不同的物质引起的。引起同种凝集的物质是与受精素相同的物质。
