        泪腺 lacrimal gland

        在爬行类以上的动物的眼，于上眼睑的外侧有发达的复合腺——泪腺，可分泌泪水以防止角膜表面干燥，并减少眼睑活动的摩擦。通过瞬膜的运动将在眼球前面流动的泪水，集合到眼的内角，然后进入到开口于上下眼睑部（泪点punctum lacrimale）的泪小管（ canaliculus lacrimalis）。泪小管经过泪囊与鼻泪管（ ductus nasalacrimalis）相通。泪水在爬行类是流入口腔的，在鸟类及哺乳类则流入鼻腔中。
