简称 GDP甘露糖。系一种核苷酸糖，由 1-磷酸甘露糖与 GTP生物合成，作为甘露糖供体与甘露糖苷、甘露聚糖、含甘露糖的脂类、糖蛋白的生物合成有关。还有在特定细胞内依次进行氧化→还原→异构化反应转变成 GDP-L-岩藻糖（ guanosine diphosp-hate fucose），成为把岩藻糖引入糖蛋白或糖脂的生物合成反应的前体。
