【背景知识】
线粒体抗体（MA）针对位于线粒体内膜的PDC-E2的E2亚单位、支链2-氧代酸脱氢酶复合物（BCOADC-E2）的E2亚单位、2-氧代戊二酸脱氢酶复合物（OGDC-E2）的E2亚单位、蛋白质X、，约95%的原发性胆汁性肝硬化（PBC）患者中发现了PDC-Ela和PDC-E1.MA。低滴度的MA在慢性活动性肝炎中很常见，它们的存在并不排除对类皮质激素的反应。原位肝移植（OLT）后约一个月MA消失，环孢素治疗后MA减少，可能对PBC有用。在明显健康的高加索成人中，MA的检出率为<1%。大约3%的PBC患者患有硬皮病，通常为CREST综合征。此外，在一些嵴硬皮病或弥漫性硬皮病患者中发现与PDC-E2复合物反应的MA，有时在没有肝脏疾病的情况下。在这两种疾病的患者中，硬皮病通常先于PBC。
