Improved formulation for enhanced stability and activity
HRP-Protector™ is a long-term stabilizer for horseradish peroxidase (HRP) coupled to antibodies or Neutravidin/Streptavidin. HRP-Protector™ gives peroxidase conjugates the crucial long-term stability over several years even when stored in low concentrated ready-to-use dilutions.
HRP-Protector™ can be used directly as an assay buffer for incubating the HRP-conjugates. Typical ready-to-use concentrations for detection are between 40-500 ng/mL.
If you have background or interference - for example derived from cross-reactivities - we recommend using LowCross® HRP-Stab as long-term stabilizer for the conjugate.
Instructions for use
HRP-Protector™ is ready-to-use. Please shake the buffer thoroughly before use.
Conjugates can be diluted directly in HRP-Protector™ in end-user concentrations. Typical concentrations of conjugates are in between 40 and 500 ng/mL.
HRP-Protector™ can be used directly as assay buffer in immunoassays.
HRP-Protector™ is designed for trouble free assays without interference. If you have background or false-positives – for example derived from cross reactivities, matrix effects or HAMA’s – we recommend using LowCross® HRP-Stab rather than HRP-Protector™.
Suitability of HRP-Protector™ for a specific assay has to be tested by the user.
Stability data of one peroxidase-conjugate cannot be transferred to other conjugates. Therefore every conjugate has to be tested for its shelf life in HRP-Protector™. If HRP-Protector™ is used for immunodiagnostic kits, the shelf life has to be tested according to the regulatory requirements for diagnostics, which apply.
Please note that high protein concentration and/or microbial contamination may lead to reduced effectivity of the preservative. If you add your conjugate/antibody for storage and you are not sure about the potential microbial contamination, it may be beneficial to add additional preservatives or antibiotics.
