　　血红素结合蛋白（hemopexin,Hpx）分子量5.7万，单链多肽，含糖量约22%。正常血浆中含量为500-1000μg/L，和游离血红素有特异结合能力。它可配合结合珠蛋白对血红蛋白进行处理。当广泛溶血时，血浆结合珠蛋白耗竭，循环中游离的血红蛋白可降解为珠蛋白和血红素两部分。血红素不溶于水，可与Hpx结合成复合物而运输到肝，分子中的铁可被机体重新利用，卟啉环降解为胆红素而由胆管排出。Hpx并不能与血红蛋白结合，仅可与血红素可逆地结合，而在血循环中反复利用，这是机体有效地保
