概述:
Xa 因子蛋白酶的常见切割位点位于 Ile-(Glu/Asp)-Gly-Arg 序列中的精氨酸残基之后。根据蛋白质底物构象的不同，Xa 因子蛋白酶有时也可在其它碱性氨基酸残基处进行切割。在这些已经测序的次级识别位点中，最常见是 Gly-Arg 序列。在 E.coli 中不稳定的蛋白质和被 Xa 因子次级识别位点切割的蛋白质之间似乎存在某种相关性；这似乎表明这些蛋白是处于部分未折叠的状态。Xa 因子蛋白酶不切割位于脯氨酸或精氨酸之前的氨基酸位点。
来源:
Xa 因子蛋白酶是从牛血浆纯化得到，并经鲁塞尔（Russell）喹蛇毒液中的活化酶活化处理。
分子量:
Xa 因子的主要形式分子量约为 43 kDa，包含两条由二硫键相连的 27 kDa 和 16 kDa 的肽链。SDS-PAGE 电泳时，还原条件下两条链的分子量分别显示为 30 kDa 和 20 kDa。
