    INTRODUCTION

    CtBP was initially known as a cellular protein which cooperates with a C-terminal motif of adenovirus E1A oncoproteins. C-terminal-binding protein is extremely conserved in higher eukaryotes. Vertebrates hold two highly homologous CtBP proteins (CtBP1 and CtBP2) while invertebrates h a single CtBP. CtBP family proteins has a significant sequence homology with D-2-hydroxy acid dehydrogenases. In addition, CtBP proteins cooperates with numerous proteins and functions as a co-repressor of transcription.

    IMMUNOGEN

    Anti-human CTBP1 mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human CTBP1 protein.

    IG SUBCLASS

    Mouse IgG2b heavy chain and Kappa light chain

    PURIFICATION METHOD

    Recombinant human CTBP1 (1-440aa) purified from E. coli

    FORMULATION

    1mg/ml containing Phosphate-Buffered Saline (pH 7.4) with 0.1% Sodium Azide.

    STORAGE PROCEDURES

    For periods up to 1 month store at 4°C, for longer periods of time, store at -20°C.
    Prevent freeze thaw cycles.

    STABILITY / SHELF LIFE

    12 months at -20°C. 1 month at 4°C.

    APPLICATIONS

    The antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:500.
    Recommended starting dilution is 1:500
