Product overview Description Anti-SLC16A7 rabbit polyclonal antibody Applications ELISA, WB, IHC Immunogen Synthetic peptide of human SLC16A7 Reactivity Human Content 1.38 mg/ml Host species Rabbit Ig class Immunogen-specific rabbit IgG Purification Antigen affinity purification
Target information Symbol SLC16A7 Full name solute carrier family 16 member 7 Synonyms MCT2 Swissprot O60669
Target Background This gene is a member of the monocarboxylate transporter family. Members in this family transport metabolites, such as lactate, pyruvate, and ketone bodies. The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the proton-linked transport of monocarboxylates and has the highest affinity for pyruvate. This protein has been reported to be more highly expressed in prostate and colorectal cancer specimens when compared to control specimens. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Applications Immunohistochemistry Predicted cell location: Cytoplasm Positive control: Human colorectal cancer Recommended dilution: 40-200 Predicted cell location: Cytoplasm Positive control: Human tonsil Recommended dilution: 40-200
