LS-F5352 is a 96-well enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the Quantitative detection of Human CRH / CRF in samples of Plasma and Serum. It is based upon a Competitive EIA assay principle and can be used to detect levels of CRH / CRF as low as 12.35 picograms per milliliter.
About CRH / CRF
Corticotropin-releasing hormone is secreted by the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of the hypothalamus in response to stress. Marked reduction in this protein has been observed in association with Alzheimer disease and autosomal recessive hypothalamic corticotropin deficiency has multiple and potentially fatal metabolic consequences including hypoglycemia and hepatitis.Uniprot: P06850 NCBI: NM_000756 NP_000747.1
