关于Intelectin-1：
Intelectin-1(ITLN1) is a secreted protein and contains 1 fibrinogen C-terminal domain. Intelectin-1 is a 40 kDa Ca-dependent galactofuranose-binding lectin that is not a C-type lectin. It is expressed on multiple cell types and appears to participate in insulin signaling and microbe recognition. The protein has no effect on basal glucose uptake but enhances insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in adipocytes. It increases AKT phosphorylation in the absence and presence of insulin and it may play a role in the defense systemagainst microorganisms. It also may specifically recognize carbohydrate chains of pathogens and bacterial components containing galactofuranosy l residues, in a calcium-dependent manner.

Cathepsin A is active in cellular comp*(代"a")rtments called lysosomes. These comp*(代"a")rtments contain enzymes that digest and recycle materials when they are no longer needed. Cathepsin A interacts with the enzymes β-galactosidase and neuraminidase 1, which play a role in the breakdown of complexes of sugar molecules (oligosaccharides) attached to certain proteins (glycoproteins) or fats (glycolipids). Cathepsin A forms a complex with these two enzymes and directs their transport within the cell to the lysosomes. Within lysosomes, cathepsin A activates the enzymes and prevents their breakdown.

Human Erythroid Membrane-Associated Protein (ERMAP) is a cell surface transmembrane protein that belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is hghly expressed in bone marrow and to a lower extent in leukocytes, thymus, lymph node and spleen. ERMAP contains 1 B30.2/SPRY domain and 1 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. It may serve as an erythroid cell receptor, possibly as a mediator of cell adhesion. ERMAP is responsible for the Scianna/Radin blood group system. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene ERMAP.
