关于DNA Polymeraseβ：
Human DNA polymerase β is constitutively expressed in cells. It fills in gaps in DNA that are formed following base excision repair. Repair polymerase that plays a key role in base-excision repair. Has 5-deoxyribose-5-phosphate lyase (dRP lyase) activity that removes the 5 sugar phosphate and also acts as a DNA polymerase that adds one nucleotide to the 3 end of the arising single-nucleotide gap. It conducts gap-filling DNA synthesis in a stepwise distributive fashion rather than in a processive fashion as for other DNA polymerases. The activity cannot be affected by Aphidicolin, which is an inhibitor of DNA polymerase β.

关于UPP1：
Uridinephosphorylase 1 (UPP1) is a member ofthe family of pentosyltransferase. UPP1 catalyses the reversible phosphorolysis of uridine to uracil. The expression levels and the enzymatic activity of UPP1 are higher in human solid tumors than in adjacent normal tissues. The high level of UPP1 expression in some tumors makes it a potential prognosticfactor for some cancers, such as oral squamous cell carcinoma. UPP1 is important for the homeostatic regulation of intracellular and plasma uridine concentratios. UPP1 plays an important role in the pyrimidine salvage pathway through its catalysis of the reversible phosphorolysis of uridine to uracil.

Human Osteoactivin is a 560 amino acid type I transmembrane protein, and one alternate splice form shows a 12 amino acid insert between amino acid 339-340. An additional 206 amino acid isoform shows a mutation at position 181 that results in a 26 amino acid substitution for the C-terminal 380 amino acids. Cells knowns to express Osteoactivin include fibroblast, osteoblasts, myeloid dendritic cell, melanocytes, plus fetal chondrocytes and stratum basale keratinocytes, macrophages/keratinocytes.
