关于Betatrophin：
The protein specifically promotes pancreatic beta cell proliferation and beta cell mass expansion, thereby improving glucose tolerance. It promotes pancreatic beta cell proliferation without insulin resistance. Also it acts as a blood lipid regulator by regulating serum triglyceride levels and possibly by promoting ANGPTL3 cleavage. It interacts with ANGPTL3. It predominantly expressed in liver and also expressed in adipose tissues. The ability of the protein to induce pancreatic beta cell proliferation is promising in diabetes therapy. Betatrophin treatment could supply or replace insulin injections by increasing the number of insulin-producing cells in diabetes.

关于BMPR1A：
Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor Type-1A (BMPR1A) belongs to the TKL Ser/Thr protein kinase family and TGFB receptor subfamily, including the type I receptors BMPR1A and BMPR1B and the type II receptor BMPR2. BMPR1A is a single-pass type I membrane protein and highly expressed in skeletal muscle. BMPR1A contains one GS domain and one protein protein kinase domain. BMPR1A is necessary for the extracellular matrix depostition by osteoblasts. BMPR1A can activate SMAD transcriptional regulators, binding with ligands. Defects in BMPR1A are a cause of juvenile polyposis syndrome, Cowden disease and hereditary mixed polyposis syndrome 2 (HMPS2).

关于LBP：
Lipopolysaccharide binding protein (LBP) is a plasma protein, belongs to a member of structurally and functionally related proteins which includes bactericidal permeability-increasing protein (BPI), plasma cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) and phospholipid transfer protein (PLTP). It is involved in the acute-phase immunologic response to gram-negative bacterial infections. In cooperation with BPI. LBP binds LPS and interacts with the CD14 receptor, most likely playing a role in regulating LPS-dependent monocyte responses. Studies suggest that LBP is necessary for the rapid acute-phase response to LPS but not for the clearance of LPS from circulation. Finally, t The LBP gene is found on chromosome 20, directly downstream of the BPI gene.
