E. coli XL1-Blue菌株是一种常用于质粒克隆的菌株，适合于非甲基化DNA的转化。其基因型为 endA1 recA1 gyrA96(nalR) thi-1 hsdR17(rk-, mk+)relA1 lac glnV44 F’[proAB+ lacIq lacZ△M15:Tn10(tetR)] hsdR17(rk-, mk+)。lacZ△M15基因的产物可通过与pUC载体编码的b-半乳糖苷酶氨基端α互补，实现蓝白斑筛选。recA1和endA1的突变有利于克隆DNA的稳定和高纯度质粒DNA的提取。本产品是经特殊工艺处理得到的XL1-Blue化学感受态细胞，使用pUC19质粒检测，转化效率可高达10 8cfu/μg DNA以上。由于XL1-Blue本身具有四环素抗性，因而不适用于转化四环素抗性的质粒DNA。
