于各型高血压，单用治疗轻、中度高血压，重度高血压合用β受体阻断药及利尿药可增强降压效。 不良反应有眩晕、疲乏、虚弱等，首次给药可致严重的体位性低血压，晕厥、心悸等，称“首剂现象”，在直立体位，饥饿、低盐时较易发生。将首次用减为0.5mg，并在临睡前服用，使可避免发生。 其他α 1 受体阻断药酮色林（凯他舍林ketanserin）兼有抗5-羟色胺S 1 受体的作用，也可有效地治疗高血压 α、β受体阻断药
