Polysciences提供的PEI有两种，线性（23966-1， Mw:25,000), 是传统的转染试剂，但不容易溶解（需要加温）。为了解决溶解问题，Polysciences后来推出枝状PEI（24765-1，Mw:40,000)。二者转染效果一样，但枝状的要贵一些。
