胶质细胞源性神经营养因子（GDNF）
GDNF 是1993由美国Synergen生物技术公司的Lin等发现并克隆的一种新的NTF，它广泛分布于CNS的多巴胺能区域，在腹侧苍白球、嗅结节以及梨状 区等接受多巴胺能神经元支配的区域均有表达，在非多巴胺能神经元支配的区域如胚胎小脑原基、丘脑、海马、基底前脑、脊髓背柱等的原代培养物中都可检测到 GDNF mRNA的表达。出生后的正常发育过程中，纹状体内中等大小神经元则是GDNF的主要来源。
GDNF是支持多巴胺能神经元最重要的营养因子。Roussa等取小鼠中脑神经球与GDNF共同培养发现，βⅢ微管蛋白免疫阳性细胞显著 增加，而未见GFAP阳性细胞表达，而且早期多巴胺的标记蛋白Nurr1 和Ptx3表达增加，提示GDNF可促进小鼠中脑NSC分化为神经元和多巴胺能神经元发育。
GDNF二聚体与GDNF家族受体（GDNF family receptor，GFR）α结合形成复合物，后者诱导Ret二聚化，Ret胞内酪氨酸残基磷酸化，从而诱发一系列信号级联放大反应，影响神经发育过程中 的各个方面，包括细胞增殖、迁移、轴突生长和细胞存活等。小鼠体内GDNF家族配体（GDNF family ligands，GFLs），GFRαs 或 Ret缺乏则外周及CNS细胞均大量缺失。
