Description 
Monoclonal Antibody against Polymerized β-tubulin Clone SMI-62 Form Ascites Fluid (contains 0.01M sodium azide) Host Mouse Species Reactivity Mammalian, green algae, molds IsoType IgG1 Specificity Polymerized β-Tubulin (SMI 62) Monoclonal Antibody SMI 62 reacts with polymerized β-tubulin. Reaction is observed with cold-stabilized tubulin, premitotic, interphase and mitotic nuclei and flagellar tubulin. SMI 62 reacts with most mammalian species in neuronal and non-neuronal tissue. Green algae and molds also react with SMI 62. Uses This antibody is effective in immunoblotting, immunocytochemistry and ELISA. Suggested Working Dilution The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition. This antibody is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use. Polymerized β-Tubulin (SMI 62) Monoclonal Antibody The extent of permissible dilution of SMI 62 beyond those recommended for general application depends upon nature and concentration of the antigen examined, species of the antigen, method of fixation and kind of section examined.
Notes Tissue Preparation: SMI 62 reacts on vibratome and frozen tissue sections but is not suitable for use on paraffin sections. Tissues can be fixed in a variety of paraformaldehyde or formaldehyde-containing fixatives. In order to get good penetration of antibodies into vibratome or frozen sections it may be necessary to treat fixed sections with cold methanol for 10 minutes. Storage Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody.
