This antibody was raised against purified human cardiac troponin-I. MAb14 is a phosphorylation-specific antibody whose epitope includes ser24. Therefore the antibody only detects troponin-I if phosphorylated on serine 24. This highly specific antibody shows less than 2% cross-reactivity to skeletal muscle troponin and serves as an excellent cardiac-specific cell marker and indicator of myocardial damage via serum ELISA.
Uses
This antibody is effective in immunoblotting, immunofluorescence (IF) and ELISA.
Suggested Working Dilution
The optimal working dilution should be determined for each specific assay condition.
Western blot: 1:1,000*
IF: 1:200
ELISA: 1:1,000
Notes
*Predicted MW = 24 kDa
Storage
Cardiac Troponin-I [Ser24] Monoclonal Antibody, Phospho-Specific, Purified Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody. For long-term storage, keep the antibody at -80°C.
