缩写T 3 ,是从甲状腺分泌出来的激素，与甲状腺素共同在甲状腺球蛋白分子中合成。虽表现与甲状腺素相同的生理活性，但其作用比甲状腺素强。在肝脏等细胞核内有 T 3 受体，认为是由基因的特异活性使之显有激素作用，但详细的情况尚不清楚。在甲状腺外，由甲状腺素的脱碘化也可形成，但是否是甲状腺激素活性分子尚未确定。（蔡可、鄂永昌译）
