Background
Bone Morphogenetic Protein 2 (BMP-2) belongs to the Transforming Growth Factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily and is a bone growth regulator. BMP-2 is involved in the Hedgehog signaling pathway, TGF-β signaling pathway, and cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction. Both BMP-2 and BMP-7 have been identified as osteogenic BMPs, effectively inducing osteoblast differentiation in various cell types. The active form can be a homodimer composed of two identical proteins or a heterodimer composed of two related bone morphogenetic proteins.
Usage Instructions
- Centrifuge the vial briefly before use.
- It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized protein using the accompanying reconstitution buffer to a concentration not less than 100 µg/mL.
- Further dilution can be made according to experimental requirements.
Storage and Shipping
