Identification and enumeration of CD366 (TIM-3)+ cells by flow cytometryClone REA602 reacts with the mouse CD366 (TIM-3) antigen, which is a Tʜ1-specific cell surface protein expressed by differentiated CD4+ Tʜ1 and CD8+ Tc1 cells and macrophages. It is absent on CD4+ Tʜ2 and CD8+ Tc2 cells. CD366 (TIM-3) has been proposed to inhibit Tʜ1-mediated immune responses. CD366 (TIM-3) absence enhances the severity of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis in mice. The interaction of CD366 (TIM-3) and galectin-9 induces apoptosis of Tʜ1 cells. | Additional information: Clone REA602 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |
