Recombinant antibody for the detection of Calponin+ cellsClone REA1104 recognizes the human and rat Calponin, a filament-associated calcium binding protein also known as Calponin-1 or CNN1. Calponin is strongly expressed in osteoblasts and smooth muscle cells. It binds several actin binding proteins and phospholipids e.g. actin, calmodulin, troponin C and tropomyosin. Calponin plays a role in the actin-myosin interaction and inhibits the ATPase activity of myosin in smooth muscle. | Additional information: Clone REA1104 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
