This product is sold for laboratory research use only, not for human or in-vivo use.Form Affinity Purified Antibody Host Rabbit Species Reactivity Presenilin 1/N-Terminal (PS1/N-Term) Polyclonal Antibody, PurifiedHuman [Ab] 0.35 mg/mL Specificity The gamma secretase is a multiprotein complex consisting of presenilin, nicastrin, Aph-1 and Pen-2; all four proteins are necessary for full proteolytic activity. The gamma secretase complex catalyzes cleavage of a number of integral membrane proteins including Amyloid precursor protein, Notch, Erb4 and E-cadherin. The results of several recent studies indicate that the functional gamma secretase activity mostly arises from a low abundance very high molecular weight complex (>670 kDa). These data suggest that additional proteins may be present in these functional complexes or the functional complex is a higher order multimer of presenilin, aph-1, pen-2 and nicastrin.

Storage Store at -20°C. Upon initial thawing, apportion into working aliquots and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to prevent denaturing the antibody.
