生物活性：
1. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized mouse CNTF (cat:51181-M07E) at 10 μg/ml (100 μl/well) can bind biotinylated rat CNTFR-His (Cat:80019-R08B). The EC50 of biotinylated rat CNTFR-His (Cat:80019-R08B) is 5-12 ng/ml.
2. Measured in a cell proliferation assay using TF-1 human erythroleukemic cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.1-0.5 μg/mL.

The recombinant mouse CNTF consists of 215 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 24.7 KDa. It migrates as an approximately 25 KDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
