Human Anti-Secukinumab Antibody, clone AbD36536ia is a paratope specific, inhibitory anti-idiotypic antibody that specifically recognizes the human monoclonal antibody secukinumab. It does not recognize free human interleukin IL-17A (IL-17A) nor secukinumab in complex with human IL-17A. The antibody can be used to measure secukinumab or its biosimilars in patient samples.
Clone AbD36536ia is a fully human recombinant monoclonal antibody with IgG1 isotype and can be used as a surrogate positive control or reference standard in an anti-drug antibody (ADA) assay. This antibody has a monovalent intrinsic affinity of 12 nM, and is one of three antibodies with different affinities offered for ADA assays.
Secukinumab (Cosentyx) is a human IgG1/kappa antibody generated using transgenic mouse technology. It has been approved for the treatment of plaque psoriasis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis and non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis. Secukinumab inhibits IL-17A produced mainly by inflammatory T helper 17 cells (Lubrano and Perrotta 2016).

This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20°C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8°C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
