Synaptosomal-associated protein 25 (SNAP-25) is a critical protein involved in synaptic vesicle fusion and neurotransmitter release in neurons. It is a key component of the SNARE (soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor) complex, which facilitates the docking and fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane.
