Triton™ X-114是一种非离子型洗涤剂。它是可溶解具有可逆相分离性质的膜的良好洗涤剂，可用于分离内在膜蛋白。[1]Triton™ X-114溶液在0℃是均相的，但在20℃以上发生相分离，形成水相和洗涤剂相。[2]Triton™ X-114溶液中蛋白的相分离已经过研究。[2]该辛基酚乙氧基化物与阴离子、阳离子和其他非离子型表面活性剂相容，在大多数酸性和碱性溶液中化学稳定。
