LIGHT(TNFSF14)是控制t细胞反应的通信系统的关键组成部分。LIGHT激活两种细胞表面受体，疱疹病毒进入介体(HVEM)和淋巴毒素-β受体(LTβR)。LIGHT-HVEM轴是t细胞重要的共刺激通路，已被证明能激活NF-κB，LIGHT/HVEM对是癌症免疫治疗的共刺激免疫检查点分子，LIGHT表达细胞比可溶性LIGHT更能激活t细胞表面表达的HVEM。
该细胞系可用于LIGHT结合测定，流式细胞术或筛选LIGHT抗体。当与HVEM/nf-κb-萤光素酶/Jurkat记者细胞系(BPSBioscience)共培养时，对于免疫检查点共刺激测定也是有用的。
