马尿酸是一种有机物.具有微溶于冷水、氯仿、乙mi、冷乙醇，略溶于戊醇，溶于热水、热乙醇、磷酸钠水溶液，几乎不溶于苯、二硫.化碳、石油.醚的性质。相当于，马及其他草食动物的尿中含量很多，在人的尿中也含有少量。从食物摄入的输送到肝脏，在ATP，Mg2+CoA的共同作用下，肽键和甘氨酸结合生成的化合物。这种合成在狗是于肾脏中进行的，其他动物是在肝脏中进行的，从肝脏中提取出来的酶样品在试管中也能进行。分解马尿酸的酶为马尿酸酶（hippuricase）。

Hipuric acid is an organic compound that is slightly soluble in cold water, chloroform, ethylene glycol, and cold ethanol, slightly soluble in pentanol, soluble in hot water, hot ethanol, and sodium phosphate aqueous solutions, and almost insoluble in benzene, carbon disulfide, and petroleum ether. Equivalent to benzoyl glycine, the urine of horses and other herbivorous animals contains a large amount, as well as a small amount in human urine. Benzoic acid ingested from food is transported to the liver, and under the combined action of ATP, Mg2+CoA, peptide bonds and glycine combine to form compounds. This synthesis occurs in the kidneys of dogs and in the liver of other animals, and enzyme samples extracted from the liver can also be performed in test tubes. The enzyme that breaks down hippurate is hippuricase.
