Our CRISPR-dCas9 Nuclese is from Streptococcus pyogenes. The PAM sequence of dCas9 is 5-NGG, which is highly abundant in the genome. dCas9 protein is a ribozyme deficient Cas9 protein, which does not have sgRNA guided DNA strand cleavage activity, but retains target DNA binding activity.
