水痘一带状疱疹病毒（ varicella ― zoster virus,VZV ）可由同一种病毒引起两种不同的病症。在儿童初次感染引起水痘，而潜伏体内的病毒受到某些刺激后复发引起起带状疱疹，多见于成年人和老年人。本病毒基本性状与 hsv 相似。只有一个血清型，一般动物和鸡胚对 VZV 不敏感，在人或猴纤椎母细胞 中增殖，并缓慢产生细胞 病变，形成多核巨细胞 ，受感染细胞 核内，可见嗜酸性包涵体。 水痘患者是主要传染源，经呼吸道、口、咽、结膜、皮肤等处侵入人体。病毒
