Mediates homotypic interactions with cells that express ALCAM . Required for normal hematopoietic stem cell engraftment in the bone marrow . Mediates attachment of dendritic cells onto endothelial cells via homotypic interaction . Inhibits endothelial cell migration and promotes endothelial tube formation via homotypic interactions .
