抗体是免疫系统对进入体内的外来分子做出反应而产生的宿主蛋白。这些外来分子被称为抗原。由于抗体能与相应的抗原发生特异性结合反应,因此特异性抗体是免疫学实验中常用的试剂,不仅对于抗原的分析鉴定和定量检测极为重要,而且广泛应用于临床疾病的诊断、治疗和预防中。在免疫学检测中应用的主要抗体是多克隆抗体和单克隆抗体,多克隆抗体常用免疫动物的方法获得,而单克隆抗体则采用杂交瘤技术制备。
