Product Overview:
The Beta-Gal Stain Base solution is a histochemical stain used to detect the presence of B-galactosidase after the cells have been fixed in the B-Gal fixative. The intensity of the blue color correlates with the level of expression. It is one of the components required to visualize the expression of the LacZ reporter gene in cell culture.
