    胰岛素样生长因子(IGF)结合蛋白的超家族包括6种高亲和力的IGF
    结合蛋白(IGFBP)和至少 4 种额外的低亲和力结合蛋白，称为 IGFBP 相
    关蛋白(IGFBP- rp)。所有 IGFBP 超家族成员都是富含半胱氨酸的蛋白质，
    具有保守的半胱氨酸残基，它们聚集在分子的氨基端和羧基端三分之一
    处。igfbp 调节 IGF 蛋白的生物活性。一些 igfbp 也可能具有独立于其结
    合 IGF 蛋白的能力的内在生物活性。
    IGFBP 的翻译后修饰，包括糖基化、
    磷酸化和蛋白水解，已被证明可以改变结合蛋白与 IGF 的亲和力。ALS
    (Acid Labile Subunit)是一种来源于肝脏的蛋白，与胰岛素样生长因子
    (IGF)结合蛋白-3 (IGFBP-3)或 IGFBP-5 以及 IGF- i 或 IGF- ii 形成三元复
    合物。ALS 增加循环中 IGF/IGFBP 复合物的半衰期。
