In Vitro: Narcissin (0-1 μM, 24 h) inhibits the 6-OHDA-induced increase in reactive oxygen species and apoptosis in SH-SY5Y cells, and increases GSH.
Narcissin (2 mM, 3 days) reduces α-synuclein accumulation in transgenic NL5901 nematodes.
Narcissin inhibits activation of Epstein-Barr virus early antigen (EBV-EA) induced by TPA in Raji cells.
In Vivo: Narcissin (85 nmol, applied to the skin) inhibits TPA (1.7 nmol, applied to the skin)-induced tumor promotion in mice.
