β－葡糖醛酸苷酶作用于专一性底物释放出游离的酚酞，用比色法测定游离酚酞的量表示酶的活力。β－葡糖醛酸苷酶广泛存在于机体组织中，除肝、脾、肾上腺外，胃肠道粘膜含量也较丰富，它具有水解固醇葡萄糖醛酸和酸性粘多糖的生理功能。胃癌组织内此酶活力要显著高于十二指肠溃疡的胃组织，胃癌组织内此酶含量丰富，主要分布于癌细胞内；胃癌患者胃粘膜表面覆盖着具有此酶强活力的膜状物。这样当含丰富酶的癌细胞破碎时，胞浆中此酶即进入胃液。测定胃液β－葡糖醛酸苷酶活力对于研究胃癌有重要的意义。

注意事项：
1. 本试剂盒的检测试剂中含有萤光素酶，反复冻融会导致其逐渐失活。尽管经测试本试剂反复冻融5次对于其检测效果无显著影响，为取得良好的使用效果，*次解冻后可适当分装保存。反复冻融过程中，可能会导致检测试剂中出现少量沉淀，此时宜平衡至室温，并尽量溶解。如仍有残留的不溶物，可以离心去除后使用，经测试不会影响后续的检测效果。
2. 检测时需使用白色或黑色的96孔板或384孔板。如果使用普通透明的96孔板或384孔板，相邻孔之间会产生相互干扰。
3. 使用说明中提供了检测ATP标准品的方法，实际检测细胞活力时通常并不需要检测ATP标准品。
