In Vitro: Quinine (150 μM, 30 min) inhibits the proliferation and cytostatic effects of DENV (Dengue virus) in human hepatocarcinoma HepG2 cell line.
?Quinine (37.5-150 μM, 24 hours) significantly reduces viral DENV RNA and protein levels in a dose-dependent manner in human hepatocarcinoma HepG2 cell line.
In Vivo: Quinine (oral gavage, 12 or 15 mg/kg, every week, 16 weeks) has some tumor suppressing effect on skin cancer in Swiss albino mice.
?Quinine (oral gavage, 10 mg/kg, everyday, 8 weeks) causes a decrease in the antioxidant defense system of rat testicular tissue such as SOD, CAT and GSH enzyme activity in male adult albino rats.

文献和实验C20 H24 O2 N2 · 3H2 O。茜草科植物红金鸡纳树（ Cinchona succirubra）或黄金鸡纳树（ Cincho－ na led geriana）干燥的金鸡纳树皮中存在 24种以上的金鸡纳生物碱，奎宁是主要的生物碱，占其中的 20— 40%。熔点 57℃（其无水物在 177℃可部分分解）。不易溶于水，呈白色结晶，有苦味，溶于羟基酸中呈蓝色荧光。系疟疾的特效药，是仅作用于疟原虫（ Plasmodium）的裂殖
。但由于它在肝组织内分布的浓度比血药浓度高数百倍，对阿米巴肝脓肿有效。详见第四十六章。 3．其他作用氯喹偶而用于类 风湿性关节炎 ，也常用于碟形 红斑狼疮 。但对后者的疗效尚无定论，而且用量大，易引起毒性反应。 【不良反应】氯喹用于治疗疟疾时，一般能良好耐受，仅有轻度头晕、头痛、胃肠不适和皮疹等，停药后迅速消失。大剂量、长疗程用药可引起视力障碍，以及对肝脏和肾脏的损害。 奎宁 奎宁（quinine）是从金鸡纳树皮中
瘙痒、皮疹等反应，停药后可消失。长期大剂量用药可引起视力模糊、白细胞减少、心律失常等，严重者可因急性中毒呼吸衰竭而致死。葡萄糖-6-磷酸脱氢酶（G-6-PD）缺乏患者可产生溶血和精神症状。有致畸作用，孕妇忌用。 奎宁 Quinine Quinine是金鸡纳树皮中所含的一种生物碱，是最早应用的抗疟药，曾是治疗疟疾的主要药物，现已不作为首选药。但是由于chloroquine的耐药性问题日趋严重，quinine又重新受到重视。 【药理作用与应用】
