    BMPs 是由 TGF-β超家族组成的分泌信号分子，最初被鉴定为软骨
    和骨形成的调节因子。至少有 20 个结构和功能相关的 BMP，其中大多
    数在各种组织和器官的胚胎发生和形态发生中发挥作用。生物活性 BMP
    通常是含有特征半胱氨酸结结构的同二聚体。异源二聚体BMP-2/BMP-7
    和 BMP-4/BMP-7 也被认为存在于体内并发挥作用。它们比它们各自的
    同种异体更能诱导骨骼形成。此外，异二聚体，而不是同二聚体，是腹
    侧中胚层诱导剂。异二聚体活性可能是由不同或额外的受体亚型介导的。
