    人干细胞因子（Stem Cell Factor，SCF）是一种跨膜蛋白，其由 25
    个氨基酸残基信号肽、189 个氨基酸胞外结构域、23 个氨基酸疏水跨膜
    区和 36 个氨基酸胞内区组成。在显性白色斑点基因座（W）或铁基因
    座（SI）中携带基因突变的小鼠出现类似的表型异常，包括造血、黑色
    素生成和配子发生方面的缺陷。随后在小鼠中的分析揭示了一种选择性
    剪接变体，它删除了整个外显子，导致细胞外结构域中的跨膜分子 28
    个氨基酸更短。人类和小鼠目前已知都含有 248 个氨基酸和 220 个氨基
    酸交替拼接形式的 SCF。较大的 45 kDa 型（也称为 KL-1）和较小的 32
    kDa 型（也称为 KL-2）都被切割以产生可溶性因子。KL-1 的解离产生
    一种 31kDa 的可溶形式。天然可溶性 SCF 是一种重 N-和 O-糖基化蛋白，
    在溶液中以非共价相关二聚体形式存在。SCF 单体的四个半胱氨酸残基
    都与分子内二硫化物键有关。小鼠或大鼠可溶性 SCF 与人可溶性 SCF
    高度同源（大约 80％序列同一性）。尽管大鼠和小鼠 SCF 对人类细胞
    都有活性，但人类蛋白质对小鼠或大鼠细胞的活性低 800 倍。
