LS-F10422 is a 96-well enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the Quantitative detection of Human PAI-1 + tPA Complex in samples of Cell Culture Media, Plasma, Serum, Tissue Extracts and Urine. It is based upon a Sandwich assay principle and can be used to detect levels of PAI-1 + tPA Complex as low as 0.5 nanograms per millilter.

Recognizes total human PAI-1-tPA Complex. Pooled normal plasma from cyno monkey and horse was assayed and minor cross-reactivity was observed. Pooled normal plasma from mouse, rat, pig, dog and sheep was assayed and no significant cross-reactivity was observed. Pooled normal plasma from rabbit resulted in significant color development.

Tissue-type plasminogen activator (tPA) is a serine protease that activates plasminogen to plasmin in the blood fibrinolytic system. Plasminogen activator inhibitor type 1 (PAI-1) is involved in the regulation of the blood fibrinolytic system and forms a 1:1 covalent complex with uPA and tPA.
