IL-8 被国际免疫学会联盟的趋化因子命名小组委员会更名为
CXCL8，CXCL8 也被称为中性粒细胞趋化因子（NCF）、中性粒细胞
活化蛋白（NAP）、单核细胞衍生的中性粒细胞趋化因子（MDNCF）、
淋巴细胞趋化因子（TCF）、粒细胞趋化蛋白（GCP）和白细胞粘附抑
制剂（LAI）。许多细胞类型，包括单核细胞/巨噬细胞、T 细胞、中性
粒细胞、成纤维细胞、内皮细胞、角质形成细胞、肝细胞、软骨细胞和
各种肿瘤细胞系，可以响应各种促炎刺激（例如暴露于 IL1、TNF）产
生 CXCL8、LPS 和病毒。CXCL8 是中性粒细胞的强效化学引诱剂。此
外，CXCL8 还具有广泛的其他促炎作用。CXCL8 也是一种有效的血管
生成因子。CXCL8 导致中性粒细胞特异性颗粒和嗜天青颗粒脱粒。
CXCL8 诱导细胞粘附分子 CD11/CD18 的表达并增强中性粒细胞对内皮
细胞和内皮下基质蛋白的粘附。除嗜中性粒细胞外，CXCL8 对嗜碱性
粒细胞、T 细胞和嗜酸性粒细胞也具有趋化性。据报道，CXCL8 是角质
形成细胞的促分裂原，也被证明是黑色素瘤细胞的自分泌生长因子。
