    白细胞介素 1β也称为白细胞热原、白细胞内源性介质、单核细胞因
    子、淋巴细胞激活因子等名称，是一种由 IL1B 基因编码的细胞因子蛋
    白。白细胞介素-1（IL-1）有两个基因：IL-1α和 IL-1β（该基因）。白
    细胞介素-1β（IL-1β）也称为分解代谢素，是白细胞介素 1 细胞因子的
    成员家庭成员，
    IL-1β前体被半胱天冬酶 1（白细胞介素 1β转化酶）切割。
    胞浆硫醇蛋白酶分解产物形成成熟的 IL-1β。IL-1β由活化的巨噬细胞产
    生，通过半胱天冬酶 1（CASP1/ICE）进行蛋白质水解加工成其活性形
    式。这种细胞因子是一种炎症反应的重要介质，并参与多种细胞因子活
    动，包括细胞增殖、分化和凋亡。归纳中枢神经系统（CNS）中这种细
    胞因子引起的环氧化酶-2（PTGS2/COX2）被发现有助于炎症性疼痛超
    敏反应。IL-1β基因和其他八种白细胞介素-1 家族基因在 2 号染色体上
    形成细胞因子基因簇。
