    CXCL5 也称上皮中性粒细胞激活肽 78(ENA-78)，是趋化因子超家
    族的 CXC 亚族成员,来源于人肺Ⅱ型肺泡上皮细胞。人 CXCL5 前体蛋白
    由 114 个氨基酸组成，切割掉 36 个氨基酸信号肽后，形成 78 个氨基的
    成熟蛋白，蛋白分子量为8.3kDa 。CXCL5基因定位于染色体4q13-q21，
    由 4 个外显子和 3 个内含子组成，与 IL-8 基因结构相似。CXCL5 的氨
    基酸序列与 NAP-2(53%)、GROα，β和γ(分别为 52%、48%和 51%)和
    IL-8(22%)具有同源性。CXCL5 和受体 CXCR2 结合，是一种具有促血
    管生成作用的趋化因子，对中性粒细胞也有着趋化作用。CXCL5 参与
    炎症、肿瘤、自身免疫病、变态反应、AIDS 等多种疾病的发生发展过
    程。
