    小鼠半乳糖凝集素 3 是凝集素家族的一员，包括 15 种哺乳动物凝
    集素。与所有的半乳糖类凝集素一样，小鼠半乳糖凝集素 3 含有一个由
    130 个氨基酸组成的碳水化合物识别结合区，能够与β-半乳糖类特异结
    合，该蛋白参与细胞粘附、细胞活化、趋化、细胞生长和分化、细胞周
    期和细胞凋亡。小鼠半乳糖凝集素 3 诱导促炎细胞因子，抑制 Th2 型细
    胞因子的产生。它能吸引单核细胞和巨噬细胞，激活和脱颗粒嗜碱性细
    胞和肥大细胞。据报道，小鼠半乳糖凝集素 3 敲除小鼠在巨噬细胞和库
    普弗细胞中的吞噬能力降低，表明该蛋白参与巨噬细胞吞噬功能。小鼠
    半乳糖凝集素 3 被证明与癌症、炎症、纤维化、心脏病和中风有关，也
    被证明与心力衰竭相关的多种过程，包括肌成纤维细胞增殖、组织修复、
    炎症、纤维化、心室重塑等，都与高血糖素-3 的表达有关。此外，小鼠
    半乳糖凝集素 3 还被发现有助于免疫系统的肿瘤细胞逃逸，越来越多地
    被用作诊断指标。对于不同的肿瘤，可以筛选和作为预测肿瘤进展的预
    后因子。小鼠半乳糖凝集素 3 的过表达与肿瘤的转化、肿瘤细胞与细胞
    外细胞的粘附以及随后的转移性转移有关。
