    血管内皮生长因子(VEGF)或血管内皮生长因子(VEGF-A)，又称血
    管通透性因子(VPF)，是胎儿和成人血管生成和血管生成的有力介质，
    是 PDGF 家族的成员，其特征是在一个胱氨酸结构中存在 8 个保守的半
    胱氨酸残基，并形成反平行的二硫键二聚体。在大鼠和小鼠中发现了 120、
    164 和 188 种氨基酸的交替剪接异构体，而在人类中已发现 121、145、
    165、183、189 和 206 氨基酸亚型。在人类中，VEGF 165 似乎是最丰
    富和最有力的异构体，其次是 VEGF 121 和 VEGF 189。同样的模式可
    能存在于大鼠和小鼠。除 VEGF 120 和 VEGF 121 外，其他亚型都含有
    基本的肝素结合区，不能自由扩散。大鼠 VEGF 164 与小鼠相应区域的
    氨基酸序列同源性为 97%，与人和牛的同源性为 88%，与猪和犬的同源
    性为 89%，与猫和马的同源性为 90%。VEGF 在骨骼肌和心肌、肝细胞、
    成骨细胞、中性粒细胞、巨噬细胞、棕色脂肪组织、CD 34 干细胞、内
    皮细胞、成纤维细胞和血管平滑肌等多种细胞和组织中均有表达。
