PPARGC1A is transcriptional coactivator for steroid receptors and nuclear receptors which increases the transcriptional activity of PPARG and thyroid hormone receptor on the uncoupling protein promoter. PPARGC1A regulates main mitochondrial genes that contribute to the program of adaptive thermogenesis and plays an important role in metabolic reprogramming in response to dietary availability through coordination of the expression of many genes participate in glucose and fatty acid metabolism. PPARGC1A induces the expression of PERM1 in the skeletal muscle and takes part in the integration of the circadian rhythms and energy metabolism.

Anti-human PPARGC1A mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human PPARGC1A protein 300-540 amino acids purified from E. coli.

PPARGC1A antibody was purified from mouse ascitic fluids by protein-A affinity chromatography.

PPARGC1A antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis, Flow cytometry and ICC/IF to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results.
